life is all about the ebbs and flows. sometimes it flows, and everything is going right. sometimes it ebbs and struggles tend to come in packs, you feel like you just can’t catch a break or can’t get out of a rut. people disappoint you, anxiety hits more than usual, you lose a bit of your daily joy and you can’t snap out of it. nothing seems to be going your way and you feel so stuck.
then one morning, you wake up and you’re back to feeling like your normal self. your baseline mood returns to neutral and then just goes up from there and little things bring you joy again. people show you that you can trust and rely on them, you find new, exciting ways to spend your days. you’re excited to get out of bed in the morning and start your day, no matter if it’s the same routine as usual. your worries and fears don’t seem as rational and you find more to look forward to than be anxious about.
that’s life. there will always be ups and downs, so you learn to fully appreciate the ups and not question them. don’t wonder if they will go away or when your current luck will run out. you embrace them, cherish them and thrive in them. you are worthy of the good and deserve it. certain things and people come into your life for a reason, don't question it. ride that joyful wave as long as you can.
and when the downs come, know they will always go away. so take care of yourself, tuck yourself away a bit, be less available to others, especially get off of social media. be a bit selfish, and do little things daily to feel better and make yourself as happy as you can be in the moment. get excited for the flow to come back, knowing it will be really good and so worth it.
